Parvaz Filmfest announces jury members

The Parvaz International Film Festival has announced the names of the jurors for this year’s edition.

The Iranian stars and filmmakers Jahangir Almasi, Mohammad-Reza Iranmanesh, Sirous Hemmati, Masoud Abparvar, Peyman Abbasi, Mahvash Vaqari and Sanaz Samavati were selected as the jurors for the 4th edition of the festival.

The Parvaz International Film Festival focuses on the life of the handicapped people and shows the problems faced by them.

According to the festival’s website, the event aims at “providing a reliable and true account of the life of the disabled, promoting the culture of selflessness by describing the selfless soldiers disabled in war, revealing unsaid aspects of the life of the disabled, and describing the challenges and problems faced by the family of disabled.”

Displaying the effectiveness of the disabled in the development of the society and creating the public culture for the society to have a better understanding of disability are also among the main objectives of the festival.

This year’s edition of the gala will take place on February 26-28 in Tehran.
